Ruth Ivo is a writer and creative producer from Northwest London.

With a background in performance, she has worked at various times as a cabaret artist, blues singer and scarer of children on a Blackpool ghost train.

As a creative producer and director working across a wide range of disciplines, including immersive theatre, festival environments and film, she co-founded and curated cult-favourite Trash City for Glastonbury festival and was associate director of The Box Soho 2012-2013, where she created the in-house erotic variety show.

She lives in Brixton and is currently studying for an MA Creative Writing at Birkbeck.
